 Come take the wheel for a spin! This 1.5 hour single-session class is for those who would like to give the pottery wheel a try. Under the guidance of our skilled instructor, you will create your very own pottery. After the class, we will trim, glaze, and fire it for you!

A fun, fast, beginner-friendly introduction to wheel throwing — perfect for families, kids, and total newcomers.

Looking for a creative activity you can enjoy together? Our Family Pottery Wheel Experience is designed for all ages and skill levels, offering a hands-on introduction to the wheel that’s exciting, and approachable. 

This is an experience only class. If you wish to fire your work, there is a $10 firing fee per piece.

Unpredictable Schedule? No problem!

Flexible Schedule Information:

- Schedule Your Classes: You have the freedom to plan your own schedule for the three classes included in this pack.

  - When you book your first class, you will choose the date for that 1st class.

  - If your schedule is unpredictable, you are not required to choose the dates for the second and third classes immediately. 

  - We only ask for a 24-hour notice before attending each class.

- Completion Timeline:

  - All three classes must be completed within a 60-day period from the date of your first class.

This condensed course is perfect for those eager to dive into the world of pottery wheel throwing! Over the course of 3 classes, you'll be introduced to the foundational skills needed to create beautiful pottery pieces. Each class will focus on a specific aspect of the pottery-making process.

Day 1: Throwing on the Wheel

Day 2: Trimming Pottery 

Day 3: Glazing You Pieces

6-week sessions are for those interested in a more in-depth lesson in wheel throwing.

Pottery Wheel I is designed for those who are completely new the pottery wheel. Students will learn the basics of wheel-throwing, including how to center clay, pull up walls, and create simple forms such as bowls and cylinders. The emphasis will be on building good habits, understanding the properties of clay, and enjoying the creative process.

Pottery I Starts:

Monday, June 1st at 6:30 pm

Pottery Wheel II is aimed at students who have completed the beginner wheel class or have some prior experience with the pottery wheel. This class will delve deeper into technique, focusing on refining skills and exploring more complex forms like vases and plates. Emphasis will be placed on consistency, control, and developing individual style.
